TAOP Day on the Hill #2
Our second Day on the Hill is Tuesday, February 10, 2026, and your participation again is especially important.
We're excited about Tennessee House Bill 1952 and Senate Bill 2076, which would allow Doctors of Optometry to perform three safe, in-office laser procedures, improving access to quality eye care for all Tennesseans, providing continuity of care, and keeping Optometry graduates in Tennessee to practice. We currently have great support! Eight Senate sponsors and 28 House sponsors are signed on to move this bill forward, but we need to keep the momentum going. Please join us as we continue to meet with legislators and keep the Optometric Practice Act top of mind, and help ensure passage of the bill.
